THE CUVEE
“La Brulade” from Domaine de La Bégude is a Bandol red wine from the highest plot of the property and the appellation. Overlooking the sea, at an altitude of 410 meters, the vines of this plot benefit from strong sunshine during the day, tempered by the sea breeze and the coolness of the nights. In this windy sector, the Mourvèdres ripen slowly in perfect conditions.
TASTING OF THE 2018 VINTAGE
La Brulade 2018 displays a beautiful purple color, limpid, with ruby reflections. The nose of this plot selection offers a floral and fruity bouquet: imbued with violet, praline licorice and forest fruits, it reveals notes of peppermint. The mouth is expressed on elegant, very fine and perfectly integrated tannins. The black and spicy fruits dominate, the finish is long, supported by a beautiful freshness characteristic of the terroir at altitude of the domain.
