Located in Aniane in the heart of Languedoc, Domaine La Terrasse d’Élise is the passionate work of Xavier Braujou. A former lumberjack turned winemaker, he founded the estate in the late 1990s and quickly established himself as one of the region's most unique and respected artisans. On around ten hectares of vines, he produces precise, honest wines deeply influenced by their terroir.
The vines grow on clay-limestone soils dotted with rounded pebbles, bathed in sunshine and refreshed by Mediterranean influences. The vineyard is cultivated with the utmost respect for nature, with very low yields and viticulture without chemical additives. Harvests are manual, vinification is gentle, and aging is carefully measured to preserve the pure expression of the fruit. The estate's philosophy is based on the pursuit of balance, precision, and emotion.
The wines of La Terrasse d'Élise are distinguished by their freshness, delicacy, and aromatic intensity. They express all the richness of the Languedoc region through an artisanal and minimalist approach.
The reds often reveal aromas of ripe red fruits, garrigue, and spices, supported by fine tannins and a silky texture. The whites, rare but superb, offer remarkable tension and purity.
Each vintage tells a story, that of a mastered terroir, a winemaker in tune with nature, and an unpretentious approach. The wines of La Terrasse d'Élise seduce with their sincerity and precision, combining indulgence and depth. Vintages of character, fine and lively, which accurately reflect the soul of contemporary Languedoc.
