Chateau Lalande-Borie 1994
Saint Julien
Château Lalande-Borie is a wine estate located in the Bordeaux region of France. It is classified as an exceptional Cru Bourgeois in the official Bordeaux wine classification. The château is located in the Saint-Julien appellation, which is renowned for producing some of the finest wines in the Bordeaux region.
Lalande-Borie is a relatively young estate compared with some of the other châteaux in the region. It was founded in 1970 by Jean-Eugène Borie, who also owns the prestigious Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. The estate takes its name from the combination of the surnames of the two successive owners, Jean-Eugène Borie and his son, Bruno-Eugène Borie.
Château Lalande-Borie's vineyards cover around 30 hectares and are planted mainly with classic Bordeaux grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vines are cultivated using environmentally-friendly methods, with particular emphasis on sustainable agriculture.

The wines produced by Château Lalande-Borie are renowned for their elegance and structure. They offer complex aromas of black fruits, spices and cedar, as well as richness on the palate and silky tannins. The wines are aged in oak barrels for between 12 and 18 months, which contributes to their development and complexity.
As with many Bordeaux wines, the quality of Château Lalande-Borie can vary from year to year, depending on weather conditions and winemaking practices. However, it is generally considered to offer excellent value for money among Saint-Julien appellation wines.
