Château Lynch Bages 1975
Pauillac - 5th Grand Cru Rated
Château Lynch-Bages 1975, a grand cru classé from Pauillac, is an iconic Médoc wine, from a vintage renowned for its robustness and classicity. This wine, composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, reveals, after several decades, a brick-red garnet color and evolved aromas of leather, undergrowth, blond tobacco, and candied black fruits, typical of great Bordeaux wines at their peak. On the palate, it retains the firm tannic structure characteristic of Lynch-Bages, but now offers a softened texture, with a long, earthy, and elegant finish. Well preserved, this 1975 reflects the château's virile and authentic style at that time, capable of aging with nobility without losing its identity.
Grape varieties : 70% Cabernet Sauvignon / 24% Merlot / 3% Cabernet Franc / 3% Petit Verdot.
Ageing : 18 months in French oak barrels (75% new wood)
