The Marcel Lapierre estate is an essential reference in the Beaujolais region of France. It bears the name of its founder, Marcel Lapierre, who was a pioneer and fervent advocate of the natural wine movement.

Marcel Lapierre took over the family estate in 1973, and quickly decided to radically change production methods by adopting a more natural, environmentally-friendly approach. He opted for biodynamic viticulture, which excludes the use of synthetic chemicals and favors natural methods to preserve the biodiversity of soils and vines.
Domaine Marcel Lapierre is best known for its wines from the Morgon appellation, one of the ten crus of the Beaujolais region. The domaine's vines are planted on granitic soils, which give the wines a beautiful minerality and freshness. The grape varieties used are mainly Gamay, the emblematic Beaujolais variety.
Domaine Marcel Lapierre's approach to winemaking is also marked by naturalness. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, then fermented with the indigenous yeasts present on the berries, without the addition of commercial yeasts. Maceration is gentle and extractions light, preserving the finesse and fruit expression of the wines.
Domaine Marcel Lapierre wines are distinguished by their elegance, purity and ability to express the Beaujolais terroir. They offer fresh red fruit aromas, good acidity and silky tannins.
