Château Montus - La Tyre 2000
Madiran - Alain Brumont
In 1990, constantly in search of the best terroirs, Alain Brumont noticed a large slope of 10 ha, totally fallow, located on the highest hillside of the Madiran appellation (260m altitude). He saw great potential there and decided to acquire it in order to plant Tannat. La Tyre is none other than the name of a district in the commune of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse. This exceptional cuvée comes from a selection of the best grapes from this parcel, which today represents a very great terroir.
