Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Classé
WHEN TO DRINK THIS WINE?
This is a rare and old Mouton Rothschild vintage. It matured decades ago. You can taste it today or collect it.
THE VINEYARD
The vineyard is planted on very deep gravel, with grape varieties typical of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon (81%), Merlot (15%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This proportion is not identical in the wine, as the blend varies according to the character of each vintage.
LABEL PRODUCED BY ANDRÉ MASSON
For the label of Mouton Rothschild 1957, the artist traces a hymn to happy intoxication in this drawing where the body of the drowsy drinker mingles with the vine's branches.
