Presentation of Mouton Rothschild 1979
This 1979 Mouton Rothschild reveals a beautiful ruby robe. On tasting, it presents lively, vegetal aromas, blackcurrant and woody notes. The Mouton style is based on minerals, tobacco leaf and graphite. This wine has reached maturity and is ready to be enjoyed now. It is a rare vintage wine. Quantities are therefore limited on this first grand cru.
The Mouton Rothschild 1979 label
As for each vintage, the Château Mouton Rothschild puts his signature on the label by choosing a new artist each year to personalise it with a work of art. In 1979, the famous Kyoto-born Hisao Domoto (1928-2013) created the label. A traditional style from his country. Abstract, with movements that follow a rhythm, in fluidity. He was the first Japanese artist to intervene in the creation of Mouton Rothschild's label.
