Château Ormes de Pez - Saint Estèphe

Château Ormes de Pez of the Saint-estèphe appellation is a 40 hectare vineyard estate enjoying a gravelly-clayey soil on limestone. The estate produces wines of a flawless quality which makes its reputation.

What are the specificities of Château Ormes de Pez?

The history of Château of Bordeaux dates back to the 16th century, when it was still called Domaine de Pez. The name change of the estate took place after the French Revolution. Orme is a kind of tree that, at one point, was part of the estate's landscape, while Pez was the name of the village where the vines were established.

Château Ormes de Pez belongs to the Cazes family, which also owns the Château Lynch Bages, located in Pauillac.

Château Les Ormes de Pez underwent a renovation of its winemaking facilities in 1993. Because of its renowned excellent quality, Ormes de Pez remains one of the most popular and expensive Bordeaux crus bourgeois.

The vineyard of 40 hectares of Château Ormes de Pez offers in tasting a wine composed of different grape varieties:
