Tasted by Jeb Dunnuck: "A fabulous wine that offers sensational aromatic fireworks accompanied by full-bodied richness and depth. With classic aromas of smoked meat, redcurrant, woodsmoke and chocolate, this beauty hits the palate without any harshness, with an impressive texture and a finish that never stops. It shows the slightly more masculine and austere side of the vintage, but the tannins are wonderfully soft and the mid-palate is very fruity. I've had a few tired bottles of this wine in recent years, so provenance is key. Nevertheless, well-preserved bottles will continue to drink beautifully for a few more decades."
