Tasted by Parker on August 28, 2015: "Just beginning to reveal itself and strut its enormous potential, this 15-year-old wine has evolved like a glacier. The wine has an inky, opaque plum/purple colour and a surprisingly rich nose of blackberries, bramble berries, blackberries, licorice and incense, as well as hints of toast and graphite. Fabulously concentrated and full-bodied, with a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, this deep Pavie is in mid-teens. It should evolve and drink well for at least another 30-40 years. This is clearly the first compelling effort from the Perse family."
