Chateau Bouscaut 1981
Cru classé de Graves - Pessac-Leognan
Château Bouscaut is a vineyard located in the Bordeaux region of France. It is classified as a Grand Cru Classé de Graves, a renowned wine appellation in the region.
The history of Château Bouscaut dates back to the 16th century, when the property belonged to the de Bosq family. Over the centuries, the vineyard has seen a number of different owners, and has undergone constant renovation and improvement. In 1979, the Lurton family acquired the estate and began modernizing the facilities and focusing on wine quality.
The Château Bouscaut vineyard covers around 50 hectares, with a large proportion of the vineyard planted with red grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec, as well as white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The vines are planted on gravelly soils, characteristic of the region, which give the wines a particular structure and complexity.
Château Bouscaut wines are renowned for their elegance, balance and ageing potential. The red wines are powerful, with aromas of black fruits, spices and subtle woody notes resulting from ageing in oak barrels. White wines are fresh and aromatic, with aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers and sometimes a touch of vanilla from barrel ageing.
