TERROIR
Grand Clos en Monopole surrounded by walls located in the suburbs of Meursault. This vineyard inherited from the Monks of Cîteaux has been producing red and white wines since the beginning.
It is a coluvionnage argilo-calcareous soil laid on an old river bed.
VINIFICATION & MATURING
Grapes are hand-picked, then sorted and completely de-stemmed. The vatting period lasted 21 days at controlled temperature in open wooden vats. We punch the cap twice a day during the active phase of alcoholic fermentation. The malolactic fermentation is 100% complete. Maturing is 100% in oak barrels.
Duration of maturing: 18 months.
TASTING NOTES

DRESS : Very beautiful intense ruby red dress.
NOSE : Sweet on notes of ripe berries (raspberry), evolving on floral notes when aired.
PALATE : Very liquorice on the suppleness and crispy fruitiness. Mentholated notes. Pretty grain of fruit spiced with spices such as cloves. Solid and tasty tannins.
