Location : The production area of the Premiers Crus of Nuits Saint Georges is divided into two zones, one in the north of the commune and the other in the south. This Premier Cru "Chaînes Carteaux" is located in the south of the commune, near the village of Premeaux, in the heart of the Premiers Crus on a lightly structured soil which produces structured and generous wines.

Vintage 2011 : After a very cold winter, a warm and luminous spring, the mixed summer gave way at the beginning of September to a warm and luminous Indian summer. The harvest took place in mid-September in order to harvest grapes at full maturity. Careful vinification and maturation allowed us to extract a beautiful substance from the Pinot Noirs which impress by the finesse of their tannins and their fleshy texture. Aged in oak barrels for 17 months.

Tasting : Beautiful ruby color. Intense aromas of ripe plums and raspberries with a touch of vanilla. Dense and voluminous. Complex and generous structure. Deep texture. Well-coated tannins on a well-integrated woody note. Long and generous finish.

Food pairing : White and red meat, grilled or roasted, game and classic cheeses, in particular regional cheeses (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux and Ami du Chambertin).
