Pommard 2018 Les Vaumuriens - Chantal Lescure
Tasty and bold, but also elegant, it shows its earthy, lime and black cherry flavours.
VINE AND TERROIR
The vines are over 45 years old. They are located on the left hillside of Pommard, facing North / North-East. The terroir is brown limestone on white marl and hard limestone. The yield is about 35-40hl/hectare.
We harvest by hand. The grapes are sorted, destemmed and not crushed. We carry out a pre-fermentation maceration releasing indigenous yeasts. The fermentation is gentle and long in stainless steel tanks, we punch down moderately and the vatting lasts 18 to 25 days.
MATURATION AND BOTTLING
We age our wines on the lees in cold cellars, in barrels (30% new barrels of 500 liters). barrels (30% new barrels of 500 liters). We rack by gravity one month before bottling,
