- Description : A favourite terroir for some of the best Chardonnays in the world, including the famous Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet is a 216 ha appellation area, bordered by Meursault to the north and Chassagne-Montrachet to the south. At the bottom of the hillside, the vineyard "Les Referts" is located between "Les Perrières" and "Les Charmes" and benefits from an ideal south-east exposure.
- Vinification & Maturing : Traditional fermentation in oak barrels, 100% malolactic.
- Ageing: 8 to 10 months in oak barrels, 50% new
- Barrels: Tonnellerie Louis Latour, French oak, medium toast
- Tasting notes : The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Referts" reveals a beautiful and brilliant pale yellow colour. The nose is intense and reminiscent of almond paste and vanilla. The palate is round and reveals aromas of yellow fruit, peach with a light woody touch. Nice length.
- Food pairing : Sole meunière - foie gras - fish - shellfish - cheese.
