Located between its two neighbors Meursault and Chassagne, the small town of Puligny-Montrachet, with a subsoil ideally suited to Chardonnay, is the true center of gravity for the white wines of the Côte-d'Or. This village, where "sacred monsters" such as Montrachet or Chevalier-Montrachet are produced, gives its name to a magnificent white wine, renowned for its distinction, intense smoothness and great aromatic persistence.
TASTING NOTE : Delicious bouquet with aromas of fruits and flowers combined with a nice note of barrel. Seductive marriage of power and elegance, it also offers a beautiful unctuousness. Good ageing potential.
FOOD/WINE AGINGS: Fish, seafood and shellfish in sauce.
SERVICE TEMPERATURE: Between 12°C and 14°C.
GUARDIAN POTENTIAL: 5 years and over
SUPPLIES: Grapes are purchased through contracts with winemakers, who are committed to respecting the strict quality criteria of Bouchard Père & Fils. We provide them with all our expertise so that the selection made is in accordance with our requirements.
MATURING: 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels, with up to 10% new barrels according to the vintage, then 2 to 3 months in stainless steel vats.
AGEING : The cellars of the Bastions of the old Château de Beaune offer natural environmental conditions perfectly adapted to the ageing of the Premiers Crus.
