Château Quinault L'Enclos 2021
St Emilion Grand Cru
93/100 James Suckling
"This is very good for the vintage, with purple fruits, iodine, hazelnut husks and chocolate, showing precision and length with ultrafine tannins. Medium-bodied, it’s polished and focused, linear and tight. 59% merlot, 23% cabernet franc and 18% cabernet sauvignon. Better in two or three years."
Château Cheval Blanc Property:
In 2008, Alain Raynaud sold Château Quinault L'Enclos to the owners of Château Cheval Blanc, Bernard Arnault and Albert Frère. Today, Pierre Lurton and his talented team at Cheval Blanc manage Château Quinault L'Enclos. After the purchase, the estate switched to organic farming in 2009.
In 2012, they obtained their certification to be completely organic in their growing methods. Starting with the 2014 vintage, Château Quinault L'Enclos began including Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend for the first time.
