Chateau Berliquet 2019
St Emilion Grand Cru
94/100 Parker
2027 - 2050
"The 2019 Berliquet reveals itself in a magnificent light, exuding aromas of cherries, wild berries, sweet spices, violets, and undergrowth from the glass. Beautifully structured, both ample and harmonious, it offers remarkable elegance, exceptional depth on the palate, lively acidity, and ripe, powdery tannins. Its finish is long and mineral. From a 9.5-hectare vineyard, it spans three soil types: the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion (like its neighbor, Château Canon); the hillside, characterized by deep clay; and finally, sandy and colluvial soils at the foot of the slope." Currently, the vineyard is planted with 70% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, but the proportion of the latter will increase with replanting.
