Château Talbot 1986
Saint-Julien - Fourth Grand Cru Rated
96/100 Parker
Rated 96 by Robert Parker, this Château Talbot is one of the two greatest vintages produced by the estate in the last fifty years. Its still deep color blends garnet, plum and purple hues. The nose is spectacular, rich in crème de cassis, with complex notes of freshly ground pepper, warm tar, Provençal herbs and a bloody touch reminiscent of meat juice.
On the palate, the wine impresses with its exceptional concentration, fullness and smooth tannins.
