The Trotte Vieille 1997 has a dark ruby color and rather closed, muted aromatics consisting of earth, wood, mushroom, and some vaguely sweet red currant and plum-like fruit. In the mouth it is tannic and hard, with pronounced minerality. To be drunk now.
