Recommended tasting period: 2025 - 2045
"The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières is distinguished by its precision and fluidity. It reveals notes of pear and preserved lemon mingled with aromas of fresh bread, white flowers, nutmeg and beeswax. Satiny and elegant in texture, it is medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a concentrated, complex core animated by lively, structuring acidity. Only eight barrels were produced."
AGE OF VINE
60 years old
GEOLOGY
The vines are located in the region of Meursault, a village in the south of the Côte de Beaune. The parcel "Les Genevrières" is located south of the village of Meursault, next to the climat "Les Perrières". Soil: a homogeneous clay-limestone soil, rather shallow, dating from the Bathonian period. This substratum is also marked by white marl. Pruning is done in Guyot (Poussard) with various green works (disbudding, trellising, pollarding).
VINIFICATION
Hand-picked, sorted on the vines and then in the vat house and finally pressed (pneumatic press) to obtain a slow extraction.

Racking after a light settling. The wine will be aged on fine lees for 18 months. No battonage. One month before bottling, the wine from the different barrels is placed in a stainless steel tank for blending. Racking before fining and light filtration before bottling. Bottling is done according to the lunar calendar.
