The vineyard:
The beautiful location of this one hectare vineyard, on a steep slope at the entrance to the combe de Concoeur, is enhanced by its high altitude (280 to 300m), its south-east exposure and a strong stoniness. The shallow limestone soil, on a hard limestone subsoil, produces a concentrated, very well-structured wine. The vines are about thirty years old and have reached the age of maturity and balance.
Tasting of NSG Les Beaux Monts :
This Premier Cru of Vosne Romanée is perfectly in the style of the village: silky tannins that support floral notes of hawthorn, wild rose, violet, as well as cherry and blackcurrant. The ageing process is particularly beneficial, during which the truffle and a beautiful concentration of candied fruits will reveal themselves.
Food and wine pairing :
Thanks to its beautiful corpulence, it will enhance a venison stew with Burgundy wine and other marinated game. Certain spicy white meats can also be served with it.
