Saint-Emilion - Premier Grand Cru Classé A
Ageing potential : Ripe wine.
Tasted by Robert M. Parker Jr. on January 1, 1998: "Light in color, with an almost Burgundian bouquet of woody fruit, cherries, and mushrooms, the 1984 is sweet and ripe. It demands to be drunk."
TERROIR
The 1984 Chateau Angelus is a blend of 51% Merlot & 47% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Less than a kilometer from the famous bell tower of Saint-Emilion, on the famous south-facing "pied de côte", Angelus is the work of a passion written for eight generations by the de Boüard de Laforest family.
SERVICE
Château Angélus should be served at a temperature of 15°C, in a red wine glass of the "Bordeaux" type. The ideal quantity is 15 cl.
