Château Angélus 1978
Saint-Emilion - First Grand Cru Rated A
TERROIR
The Angelus style is the marriage of a bold grape variety with an exceptional terroir. It is this unique character born of the southern slope of Saint-Emilion and its high proportion of Cabernet Franc that we like to find over the vintages. It is a composition reorchestrated each year, always in search of excellence.
Château Angélus 2020 is composed of a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc.
SERVICE
Château Angélus should be served at a temperature of 15°C, in a red wine glass of the "Bordeaux" type. The ideal quantity is 15 cl.
For wines that have not been aged in barrels, decanting is not necessary. Aeration in a carafe is recommended when the wine is young and has been aged in oak barrels. For older wines, it is preferable to decant them a few hours before serving them. This can also be done for young wines in the context of aeration.
