- Tasted by William Kelley on August 4, 2022: "Opening in the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, spice and smoke. The 2021 Côte de Brouilly Cuvée Melanie is fleshy and succulent, with a sweet core of fruit, light, well-balanced acidity, powdery tannins and a penetrating finish. More ripe and powerful than the 2020 vintage."
- The 2021 vintage: Daniel Bouland produced another set of very successful wines in this challenging vintage, which produced a fresher, brighter, less alcoholic style, with all the concentration and fullness; image of Domaine Bouland. This estate continues to represent a reference point for the Beaujolais.
