"The 2021 Macán comes from a year marked by above-average rainfall and a few hailstorms in June—which reduced yields—but also by favorable weather conditions during the harvest. It contains 1% Graciano. The wine has an alcohol content of 14.5%, a pH of 3.8, and an acidity level of five grams. That year, 100% indigenous yeasts were used; aging took place in new barrels (50%) and 4,000-liter oak vats for 12 months, followed by another six months in 20,000-liter oak tanks. It is a serious, harmonious, and subtle wine—more elegant than any previous vintage—reflecting the freshness of the year. It is well-structured and perfectly proportioned, combining balance and freshness with abundant yet fine-grained tannins. It is one of the finest vintages to date, if not the finest.
