A harmonious and greedy vintage! Comptoir des Millésimes is the first online seller of the Bollinger PN VZ16, a rare cuvée. It is one of the domain's recent cuvées (first release in 2020 with PN VZ15). Their know-how and vision to bring out the best of the grape variety: a champagne born from the elegance of the tasty Pinot Noir of Verzenay.
Blend of the VZ16 edition:
- 100% Pinot Noir (Blanc de Noirs).
- Main Cru: Verzenay, associated with other villages (Avenay, Tauxières).
- Base year: 2016. Exclusive use of the cuvée.
- Maturation: More than twice the maturation time in the cellar as required by the Appellation.
- Dosage: Moderate, 6 grams per litre.
Tasting notes :
- To the eye: A robe adorned with golden reflections.
- On the nose: On opening, fruity notes of apple, rhubarb, quince and mirabelle plum are revealed. After a few moments, aromas of hazelnut complete the aromatic palette.
- On the palate: A beautiful creamy effervescence gives way to a greedy and expressive mouth. Exotic, brioche and slightly stewed flavours precede a salty finish.
