Saint Joseph White Nobles Rives 2020 - Cave de Tain
Geographical location: Northern Côtes du Rhône, right bank of the Rhône
Grape variety: Marsanne
Terroir : Terraced hillside vineyards; granite soils
Climate : Continental with Mediterranean influence
Vinification : Manual harvest in palloxes on 45 year old vines and cold storage for 24 hours before pressing to preserve the gustative qualities of the product. Protection against oxidation as soon as the first juices are released. Alcoholic fermentation partly in vats at 18°C and partly in barrels. Malolactic fermentation in wood for 30% of the volume.
Ageing: On fine lees, partly in 400L barrels (80%) and in vats, for about 7 months.
Tasting notes : Bright light yellow colour with green highlights. Aromas of white flowers, citrus fruit and fresh hazelnut. In the mouth: round and fleshy with aromas of apricot, vineyard peach and citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit). Mineral finish.
