Champagne Tarlant La Vigne Royale 2003

Cradle of the greatest Pinots Noirs of Champagne, Celles-lès-Condé is at the confluence of the Dhuys and the Surmelin, the favourite terroir of the court of the Kings of France. On these great sunny hillsides with perilous slopes rises the La Vigne Royale ploughed by the maternal grandfather, Maurice Boiselle, to cultivate the Pinot Noir.

 96/100 Parker

Cellaring : 2020 - 2031

By Stephan Reinhardt in 2021 : "Disgorged in June 2013, the Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs 2003 La Vigne Royale comes from a southeast-facing plot of pinot noir planted on lutetian limestone with lignite in the 1980s. The bouquet is pure, fresh and intense, with great finesse and elegance and superb sweet cherry fruit intermingled with iodine aromas. The palate is tight, pure and saline, very fresh and long, with great mineral tension and finesse. Is it really a 2003? This is a fabulous champagne, eternally young and never ending."
