Château Margaux 1983
Margaux - First Grand Cru Rated
• 98/100 Wine Spectator
• 96/100 Robert Parker
A breathtaking great Margaux wine, this 1983, which seems to have reached full maturity, has a plum colour, dark and dense. A magnificent nose of smoky herbs, wet earth, mushrooms, and candy. Crème de cassis mixed with vanilla and violets. The wine is medium-bodied, deep, rich and powerful, with sweet tannins and lots of fruit concentration. Expected maturity: drink now.
