- By Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2018: "Deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2016 Château Margaux (a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot) soars out of the glass with glamorous scents of red currant, candied violet, kirsch and crushed cassis, followed by notions of plowed black earth, forest floor, cast-iron stove and cigar box with subtle scents of lavender and oolong tea. Medium-bodied, mineral accents hover on the palate with an ethereal feeling of weightlessness, but it's super intense with layers of red and black flavors backed by a firm texture of fine silt-like tannins, finishing wonderfully perfumed and incredibly long."
