Order wine : Château de Beaucastel White 1989
Chateauneuf du pape - Famille Perrin
94/100 Parker
When to drink this wine : Now to 2025.
Tasted by Jeb Dunnuck : " The 1989 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc, which Marc says was medium brown and oxidised five years ago, has certainly turned a corner and started to sing on this occasion. Offering a touch of petroleum in its bouquet of buttery citrus, lemon curd, minerals and dried herbs, it is fabulous on the palate and offers medium to full-bodied richness, a silky texture and no rough edges."
