Rouères 2020 - Domaine Belargus
Appellation Anjou Contrôlée
"Le Veau" is one of the three parcels listed in the original decree creating the Quarts-de-Chaume appellation. Our parcel covers the major part of this area, on the west facing slope. Its name (derived from the old French) comes from the shape of the parcel, which is a small valley.
The soil is very thin (or even non-existent in some parts) because the parcel rests on a tongue of outcropping schist, giving this cuvée a mineral tension and a great potential for ageing.
