CHARACTERISTIC OF THE APPELLATION
Montagny is the most southern village of the Côte Chalonnaise, on the edge of the Mâconnais. Chardonnay flourishes in this vineyard with its uneven terrain. With an east/south-east exposure, its steep slopes rise to an altitude of 400 meters.
TASTING
The robe is pale yellow with golden reflections. The nose expresses itself on fresh and floral scents which mingle with aromas of dried fruits. In the mouth, the wine is supple with a good volume while keeping a certain vivacity. Freshness and unctuousness are perfectly combined and give this wine a good balance and a pleasant aromatic persistence.

VINIFICATION & MATURATION
The grapes are cut and sorted by hand. The must is extracted with a pneumatic press, then settled. The alcoholic fermentation is accomplished in 4 weeks in French oak barrels (no new barrels for this vintage). The maturation continues during 16 months with a regular stirring. This allows the wine to acquire delicate woody notes while preserving its freshness and typicity.
