The Forge Cellars wine estate was created in March 2011, by 3 great personalities of the wine world: Mr. Louis Barruol, a famous French winemaker at the head of the Château Saint-Cosme in Gigondas; a great oenologist, Justin Boyette, as well as Richard Rainey who is the head of cultivation and manager. A passionate trio. Their value: "To make the earth speak, through our work". Forge Cellars is first and foremost a small estate driven by an artisan spirit, producing mainly Riesling and Pinot Noir. The unique and fresh terroir he found there was irresistible and Louis and two like-minded friends decided to make the best possible Riesling and Pinot Noir.

The unusual landscape of the Finger Lakes is hundreds of thousands of years old - meticulously carved by wave after wave of glaciers. The lakes create a microclimate that helps to mitigate the cold winter weather and creates a gentle breeze to cool summer days.
