Côte-Rôtie 2024 Le Gallet Blanc - François Villard at the best price
From the estate
The 2024 Vintage
The 2024 vintage at the estate of François Villard, in the northern Rhône Valley, emerged from a challenging climatic year, marked by a particularly wet and complex spring. Despite these viticultural difficulties, the winemaker’s rigor and expertise made it possible to overcome the obstacles, resulting in precisely crafted wines that possess a fine balance between freshness and alcohol, along with great distinction. The whites—notably the Condrieus and Saint-Pérays—shine with their vibrant, aromatic, and taut profiles, while the reds (Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph) favor elegance, refined tannins, and a highly appealing, immediate drinkability.
- Tasting note: There are notes of mocha, herbs, pepper and plum, which combine explosively on the nose. The palate is intense without being too heavy. The texture is creamy and rich. It finishes with persistence and has an impressive grip.
