Château Gazin 1981
Pomerol
90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc. Former wine critic Michael Broadbent announced that it was a good vintage for Chateau Gazin despite the difficulty of this year for the French vineyard.
It is a powerful and quite tannic wine. Red/black fruit on the nose, silky and delicate on the palate, great finish.
It is ready to be tasted and there is no point in keeping it longer in the cellar. When tasting, you can open it two or three hours before serving. (It should not be decanted).
