The best Giscours of my professional career (I said the same thing about the barrel), this dense purple-colored wine has a stunning nose of fiery embers, charcoal, creme de cassis, new leather, and wet forest floor notes. It is full-bodied, with exceptionally sweet, well-integrated tannin, and a multidimensional, almost skyscraper-like finish. With its low acidity, remarkable substance, and depth, this gorgeous wine should age beautifully for 20-30 years.
