Ermitage blanc 2015 Le Reverdy in Magnum - Ferraton Pere & Fils
GRAPE VARIETIES
50% Marsanne, 50% Roussanne. Vines about 30 years old.
SOIL
This wine comes from two parcels: les Beaumes (limestone and alluvial soils) and le Méal (terraces of rolled pebbles). South, south-east exposure.
VINIFICATION
After pressing, the must is cold-settled, then put into oak barrels (228 litre barrels and half-muids (600 litre), 30% new) to carry out its alcoholic fermentation.
MATURING
The malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels as well as the maturing. The wine is aged on fine lees for a period of 10 to 12 months depending on the vintage.
TASTING
Colour : brilliant, straw gold colour.
Nose : aromas of ripe fruits (yellow peaches, apricots), grilled notes.
Palate : very structured, rich and complex wine.
Very long on the palate.
Aromas of peach, cinnamon, toast, vanilla.
The woodiness is very well integrated.
