Hermitage Les Bessards 1997 - Delas
Hermitage - Delas Frères
94/100 – Robert Parker
Wine Advocate – Reviewed by Robert M. Parker, Jr.
The 1997 Hermitage Les Bessards by Delas Frères is a spectacular cuvée from the legendary terroir of Les Bessards, considered the finest in the Hermitage region. The estate owns 8 hectares of land, nestled in the heart of the hillside.
This wine is distinguished by its black color with purple highlights and a very intense nose, blending crème de cassis, mineral notes, spicy oak, and floral accents. On the palate, this is a massive and powerful Hermitage, with a smooth attack due to its natural concentration, its high glycerol and dry extract content, rather than sugar.
