Hermitage Maison Bleue 2017 - Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Direct from the Jaboulet estate
95/100 Parker
Cellaring potential: This great wine is best drunk now, or cellared until 2032.
Tasting note by Joe Czerwinski in 2019: "Jaboulet's 2017 Hermitage La Maison Bleue is downright sexy, sumptuous and generous without being overly ripe or unstructured. Licorice, black currant and Asian five-spice powder burst from the glass in a complex swirl of perfume and flavor. Coming from the eastern end of the appellation, it offers instant gratification and admirable quality for a fraction of the price of the La Chapelle."
