Exceptional Provenance: Cellar of the Marquis de Lur Saluces

This bottle comes directly from the private cellar of Alexandre de Lur Saluces, an emblematic figure of Château d’Yquem. A descendant of a prestigious lineage, he was one of the greatest architects of Yquem’s renown, which he managed for over 35 years. Considered the guardian of the Yquem style, he left his mark on the history of Sauternes through his exacting standards and expertise.

Stored under ideal conditions (stable temperature, total darkness, controlled humidity), this wine benefits from perfect traceability and impeccable storage, a rare quality for older vintages.

The bottles from this historic collection are available in extremely limited quantities and represent a unique opportunity for collectors and lovers of fine wines.

Prince Florent de Mérode was a Belgian aristocrat from the influential Mérode family, historically known as the owners of La Romanée, an iconic grand cru vineyard in Vosne-Romanée and one of Burgundy’s smallest monopoles. The family safeguarded the prestige and integrity of this exceptional terroir until its transition to Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair in the early 2000s. His name remains closely linked to the legacy and reputation of this legendary vineyard and the exceptional wines it produces.
