The 1996 Lafite Rothschild:
Produced with a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.
Medium-bodied and soft on the palate, it offers savory and plum jam flavors. It has a long, savoury finish.
Full-bodied, with very silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. It is a magnificent wine with a very rich, intense and concentrated taste.
It will go wonderfully well with red meat, roast meat, duck and game.
Ideal tasting temperature: between 16 and 18°C
