By Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2020: "Deep garnet-colored, the 2010 Lafite Rothschild is a bit muted on the nose at this stage, opening up to reveal warm scents of cassis, baked plums, and boysenberries with hints of chocolate mint, violets, cedar chest, and pencil lead. Full-bodied, rich and dense, with layers of fragrant black fruits, it has a rock-solid backbone, with fantastically ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing very long and mineral. Still very young!"
