Rating: 94/100 Wine Spectator
- Tasted by James Molesworth in 2022: "Ripe and elegant, delivering bright black currant, damson plum, blackberry and mulberry notes with iron, anise, black tea and savory accents. Offers remarkable precision and balance, even as the fruit flirts with an exotic blend. Enticing finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. - JM"

Lafon-Rochet is a wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation, located in the Médoc wine-growing region of Bordeaux. Ranked fourth Grand Cru in the 1855 classification, this family estate is renowned for producing elegant, well-structured wines that perfectly reflect the richness of its gravel and clay terroirs. Composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon, it boasts complex aromas of black fruits, tobacco and spices, with good acidity and fine tannins, giving it excellent ageing potential. Lafon-Rochet wines are appreciated for their balance and depth, with a touch of minerality typical of Saint-Estèphe.
