Chinon 2019 Clos de Turpenay - Château de Coulaine
Famille Denys de Bonnaventure - Chinon
- Ageing potential: 2025 - 2040+.
- Tasting : The Chinon Clos de Turpenay is deep, intense and concentrated while being quite open on the nose. It reveals sweet, ripe, dark berries and some mint and dark chocolate aromas. Round and smooth on the palate, this is an elegant, rich, concentrated and quite massive Chinon, but also with vitality in the background. Very long and tight, it should have excellent ageing potential.
- Presentation of the terroir : Clay-limestone terroir / Massal selection carried out between 1960 and 1995 on 2 ha. The terroir, known and planted since the Middle Ages, is composed of clay and millarges or yellow tuffeau exposed south-east.
- Pairings : To be served with meats, game dishes or even sweet and sour.
