Bourgogne Blanc Couvent des Jacobins 2023 - Louis jadot
The “Couvent des Jacobins” White Burgundy from Louis Jadot is a wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, grown on different plots in the Côte d’Or, Côte Chalonnaise, and Mâconnais regions. This diversity of terroirs gives it a beautiful balance between freshness, fruit, and roundness. Upon tasting, it reveals a brilliant pale yellow color and an elegant nose marked by notes of white flowers, white-fleshed fruits, and a buttery, toasty touch. On the palate, it is harmonious, lively, and mineral, with a supple and persistent finish, faithful to the refined style of Burgundy whites.
The “Couvent des Jacobins” takes its name from the historic convent in the center of Beaune, owned by Louis Jadot, founded in 1859. It expresses the spirit of tradition and rigor that characterizes the house. This wine is ideally paired with fish, seafood, or poultry in sauce, as well as mild cheeses. It is best enjoyed young for its freshness, but can also be aged for a few years to gain complexity.
