Great House of Burgundy
93/100 Wine Spectator
An exceptional wine, concentrated and still young at the time of review.
It is a dark-coloured wine, expressing remarkable fruit purity, dominated by notes of blackberry and raspberry, supported by subtle woody accents with toasted and floral (violet) notes. On the palate, the texture is rich, deep and mineral, but still a little firm, suggesting that it will age well in the cellar.
A wine of character, harmonious and vibrant, to be savored without delay.
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Chambolle-Musigny is a village of great renown despite its small size. It owes its reputation to the quality of its wines and the fame of its Premier Crus.
CHARACTERISTICS
The "Fuées" vineyard is located on a clay-siliceous soil with many hard stones. It is located on the same vein as the Bonnes Mares, at altitude, facing due east.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The grapes, characterized by very black berries, are destemmed and vinified in open vats for about 4 weeks, thus revealing all the subtlety of this terroir. After devatting, the wines are placed in oak barrels in our cellars and aged for 18 months.
SERVICE
Serving temperature : 16-17 C°.
