Chateauneuf du pape - Famille Perrin
89/100 Parker
When to drink this wine : Can be drunk now, wine at maturity.
Tasted by Robert M. Parker in 1999: "The 1996 Beaucastel behaves better after some time in bottle. With high acidity, this tannic example is reminiscent (at least in texture) of a young Medoc. There are notes of blackberry, earth, leather and spice in the aromas. On the palate, the wine has a nice acidic edge, plenty of Mourvèdre characteristics (fleshy) and a structured finish. "
